history of blogs in baja local as I remember them as of 11/2015

Baja nomad has a copyright of 2001 and was in use, where the earliest post I found was 2002.   Where baja pony appears was a business website non active till 2006 as a broadcast email service.

oct 2003 bajalovers on yahoo user groups was started after the outbreak of Dengue, was used by people in LaVentana, this was when people could only join if you had a yahoo account and people in those days did not like more than one account.   .  today dropped to 89 members.  I like this one for immediate notification of LaVentana issues, like lost my board, or lost my dog, last minute emergency like be on the watch out.  

dec 2003 post #90 of bajalovers, I made a spreadsheet of a local ride board and noted would do a website if there was interest.   Few people  used, so.   again few people were internet people still back then, there were still many holdouts.  

march 2005 kurtmarina started a ride2ventana yahoo group, I have one of the emails from the group so so not have when it actually started.   It died again because of still not everyone was internet savvy and the yahoo user group emails are not a good format.

dec 24th 2007 lapazgringos was started on yahoo  this is a LaPaz based site today about 2000 members

BPE started about 2009  http://thebajaponyexpress.com.cutestat.com/  my guess is they are at 2000-3000 people

not sure when the ventana view started, but seem to remember about 2009 or so, I do not know how many people but seem to remember 1000 or so..
