https://goabode.com/

abode was suggested, the plus is very good features, the minus a bit more expensive wyse.

https://shop.ring.com/pages/security-system

ring is good because it has built in battery backup.       but does not have the buildable home features.

here is another higher cost but the good parts require very high bandwidth and require a fee to be paid monthly.

I have done some initial testing and these low-cost WYZE www.wyze.com sensors are effective. They are about USD$6.00 each. Easy to set up and initialize for the average person. The entire package costs about USD$20.00, has one camera and one motion sensor and 2 windows/door sensors. The average small home would need two kits of these plus additional $6.00 sensors and the average larger home 4-6 packs. They are good for short-range with their hubs, and do require you to have internet.. This should be effective enough for the majority of us as a starter. If you want the video available online there is a $2.00 a month fee per camera. you really only need one camera online. The others you can add a memory card to them.

The second part to this are the new pro tiles if we can get the money for high-resolution security cameras on the road at various locations around town. The new 2020 pro tiles do not require internet at your home to assist us in catching thieves.

Yes this will be the norm if we as a community do not try some out of the box thinking.

i will be working on some security measures for the community this coming summer. I have started acquiring some items to test and debug for a technology mitigation solution.

one part i have tested on a limited scale a product called "tiles". their range is finally reasonable. these low-cost transmitter devices can be placed in kitebags, in kitebars, on computers, tablets, monitors, bicycles, cars, motorcycles, boat motors, tvs, safes, tools with a year battery life and if you set them for notifications they log as they pass within 50 feet for sure of another person's device on the system, they claim more but real world I guess is 50 feet which is what is needed.

Then if there are cameras at key locations and a receiver device it will log the vehicle and picture of the occupants on the system that you will have a notification for knowing the exact time. having a camera at the beginning of town, middle and t-intersection to lapaz or to los planes/cabo could potentially impact the motivation of messing with our dead-end road. you could call the police and tell them they are going to arrive in lapaz in 30 minutes with a description of the car. or go to the local police if they stay in town with their car picture and their picture.

Same with another low-cost system that will notify you when someone enters your home if you have wifi. You would then look at the videos of the cars leaving town if they were from out of town.

the new high-speed internet company ToroNet.mx has agreed to work with us, we will need to buy the equipment and they will relay the information to an online server via their service.

I will need some helpers to put this into service.

They will install La Paz 300 video cameras; the investment will be 45 mp

The mayor said that they intend to place the cameras in the colonies and in points of citizen meeting that allows to optimize the surveillance tasks
La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS). The mayor of La Paz, Rubén Gregorio Muñoz Álvarez, mentioned that they will install 300 surveillance cameras in the urban area, whose investment will be 45,000,000 pesos.

He also indicated that the installation of the cameras is part of the second stage of the comprehensive security program for La Paz ; He also commented that the equipment will be complementary to the units that are already operating in the C-4.

"We plan to invite businessmen to join this measure by placing cameras in hotels, gas stations and shops, which can be connected to the optical system that exists," said the mayor.

In this sense, he said that they intend to place the cameras in the colonies and at citizen meeting points to form a shield, which allows to optimize the surveillance tasks and to return the inhabitants the tranquility they demand.

Finally, Muñoz Álvarez said that drones will be used, which will operate within a radius of 5 kilometers away from each command to turn them into the first technological respondents, since these will be sent to the points where an emergency is reported.

It should be noted that in 2017 , the Secretary of the Government of Baja California Sur, Álvaro de la Peña Angulo announced the installation of 120 cameras in La Paz and 33 in Los Cabos , with the purpose that these teams could support in the investigation of crimes committed .

just out yesterday...  this will do it, up to 100 foot range....   the issue is for the true features of geofencing you have to pay $40.00 a year.    which is ok but we need several of them.   the second article does imply you can have several of the tiles ($35.00) each on one account.    If so this could be ideal...    only for apple right now android soon.

Latest Tile Bluetooth trackers boast replaceable batteries

The devices themselves also offer improvements. Bluetooth range is increased to 150 feet (46 m) for the Tile Mate, and 300 feet (91 m) for the Tile Pro. Ring volume is also increased, with the Pro twice as loud as older devices like the Tile Sport. The Tile Mate has a white plastic finish, while the Pro boasts sleeker dark or white graphite and metal stylings.
